Mom, Is He Still Looking?

As I'm getting Miss K ready for bed, she looks at me and asks, "Mom, is God still looking for my brother or sister?"
I said, "Yes, sweetie. One day you will have one, but God is looking for the baby that will be perfect for our family."
K: "Well, I really just want a sister now, not a boy one, so do you think He will remember that?"
Me: "I think so, but we should be happy with either." 
K: "We have to have a special Mommy, right?" 
Me: "Yes, we do."
K: "Mom, what is taking so long? I really want a sister."
Me: "Well, we just have to wait for the perfect baby."

Then she proceeded to tell me all the reasons she wanted a baby sister, and all the things she was going to teach "her" baby. Like bouncing on knees, crawling, and walking.
