Wow! I'm really feeling blessed! (I know I seem to say that a lot, but it's the truth!) I heard from our social worker yesterday to start scheduling times for our home visits. I emailed her back our UN available dates, because I thought that would be easier than telling our available dates. I checked my email this morning, and we are tentatively setting the dates for November 12th and 13th! I just can't believe it is happening so fast! Not that I don't have faith, but I really thought we would be waiting until next year for our visits to happen. I know at the end of the year things get crazy with the holidays, so I was completely shocked when she shot those dates out there! I'm NOT complaining at all, we are both so excited.
I feel that I must stress though, that although we are super excited we also realize that there is another side to this process. There will be a birth mother out there somewhere that is meant for us, and in NO way or form do I want to speed up the process for her. It's going to be a very difficult time for her, and for her sake I'm okay with waiting. I know she's going to feel a heartache like she's never had but I do hope that we can somehow help her through this difficult time.
I decided to start this blog so family and friends can keep up with us (and possibly get to know us better). Although technology is so far advanced, it seems difficult to keep in touch with each and every person. Even so, we think of you often. We are starting a new path in our lives and would very much like to share it with those we love. I'll give updates, throw some tidbits of adoption info out there, and tell some of my thoughts and feelings as we go along!

Just so you know...
There is absolutely no rhyme or reason to my, er I mean "our' blog. When the mood hits me I write about something. I don't mean to offend anyone... certainly not my goal. I just want people to learn about us and get to know us better. We like comments, so feel free to post some!

Sounds like your brain and your heart are in the right places...congrats on your dates! Now don't stress it...it's not that bad.
Thank you, kinda hard not to stress though!
The waiting game is hard... even with the little mile markers along the way. It's great to hear about the progress!
