Just so you know...

There is absolutely no rhyme or reason to my, er I mean "our' blog. When the mood hits me I write about something. I don't mean to offend anyone... certainly not my goal. I just want people to learn about us and get to know us better. We like comments, so feel free to post some!

Autobiography

So today I sat down to write on my autobiography... and I sat there and I sat there. (I already have it written up, but it just seems so BORING!) So, I called my mom and asked her what I was like when I was little. She told me tons of stories... maybe a couple I didnt want to know, like peeing the bed. LOL.. I don't think that's the kind of thing they want to know! Basically she confirmed alot of what I already remembered, but some things I did forget to mention in my auto. So here I am, writing on here versus on the auto... Putting it off? Maybe.... I'm not so sure, but I just can't seem to be able to sit down and write about myself in a way that it sounds interesting. Hopefully, just hopefully I will go to bed tonight thinking of this and in the morning when I wake, I will have brainstormed all through my sleep and know exactly what to type!

My sweet little girl!

Miss K has never been the hug on, kiss on kinda girl. She's rough and tough and very much a tomboy, but this morning she did show me a little softer side!

****Just to explain a little... I burned my leg about a week ago, so I've been hobbling around. Nick keeps saying I look so silly trying to walk, and I say if he would just buy me a walker it wouldnt be so bad! One day, a few days ago, while trying to *walk* downstairs, I fell about halfway down. All I could think is don't hit my leg, don't hit my leg. Well, I did hit my leg, but not on the burn! K came running downstairs, "Mom, U ok?" She asked over and over. "Yes, sweetie, Mommy's okay." I said. She then said, "You need be careful of stairs Mom." I could do nothing but laugh.****

It's K and I's routine to get up, eat breakfast, and go upstairs and watch cartoons. After breakfast, she looks at me and says, "Mom, you need hold mine hand." I said, "I do? Why do I need to hold your hand?" She replies, "Cause, you fall down stairs if you don't."

Oh, how I love this girl and how she makes me laugh!

Tim McGraw

Nick and I before the concert.

Okay, so I'm not a huge fan of Tim McGraw, but I love some of his songs! We got free tickets to see him last night. Opening for him was Love & Theft, and Dierks Bentley... now I like me some Dierks! We went with friends and had an awesome time! I think Nick may have had a little too much fun! The last concert he went to was Holly Dunn, if that gives you any idea how long ago it was! We, unfortunately, werent able to take cameras to the concert, so we didnt get quality pictures... but we did get a few decent ones with our cell phones.

Water Skis!

So my sweet hubby bought me some water skis a couple days ago! I was so excited and I can't wait to use them. It's been about 10 years since the last I skied, so it may take me awhile to get the hang of it again. I burned my leg pretty bad (2nd degree) so once that heals up, I'm gonna be a skiing fool! Haha! I love my life and my little family, and I'm so excited to one day share it with another little one!

Same ol', same ol'

We just went in to the bank last week to get some adoption paperwork notarized, the banker told us that she had another customer adopt and it has taken him five years. Five years!? So maybe my hopes are set a little high, and I have to say walking out of there I was a little deflated. I sure hope that it doesnt take us five years! I try very hard to keep my head up and to know that everything will happen in it's own time. I guess at times I just get so caught up in wanting a baby of my own that I think it should happen right now! Anyhow, nothing else is going on. We are still working on the paperwork... I'm mostly done, Nick is still wading through his though. Hopefully by the end of the month it's all kosher!

I love surprises!

The smallest things can make me excited! I got a certified letter in the mail today from Huggies. I signed up on the Enjoy the Ride Rewards program (because Huggies just happens to be our favorite diaper/ pullup) What do ya know? I won a years worth of free diapers!!! Woohooo! I was so excited. Too bad K isn't wearing them anymore, but I'm going to stockpiling for our future baby that is growing in our hearts!
